The answer is that because he wants a rose without thorns.

There was a man who maintained one of the best lawns in his city. It had many varieties of roses. As the lawn was just near the road, this delighted the passers by and won fame in the city. He was proud of it. One day his little daughter, while playing in the lawn, accidentally ran into a bush of roses and bruised her hands. The blood oozed out. The man felt bad. Upset by the incident, he decided to remove all the thorns from the rose bush. He ordered his gardener to snip off all the thorns from the rose bushes. Within two weeks all the bushes were cleaned of the thorns.

Some days passed. One day the man woke up and early in the morning went to relax in his lawn, as he used to do earlier. He found that all the rose bushes had been destroyed and the garden looked deserted. At night, some cattle had entered the lawn and attracted by the fragrance of the roses, they had grazed on the (undefended) flowers and crushed the bushes. The man could only beat his head in agony.

The moral of the story is that every vice has its own worth for the virtue.

Like a coin every person has two faces-one is virtue and the other, vice. Virtues are like roses and the vices are like thorns. Everybody likes virtues and hates vices. But is it possible to have a rose plant without thorns? If not, then in no way can there be a wife who is full of virtues and no vices at all.

Why is it that our love for our parents does not get affected by any factor? Do we love our parents because of their virtues? Do our parents love us only because of our 'good qualities'? Do you love your mother for her beauty? Do you ever think about her negative aspects? However bad our parents are, we still love them and support them, even if it means turning a blind eye to their weaknesses.

If you want to please your wife and love her, appreciate her as you would a rose. When you look at the rose, do you see its beauty, enjoy its fragrance or do you feel irritated by the thorns surrounding it?
